distress rainbow

i was browsing 'simon says stamp' and saw this dry ink pad.

the opportunity to make my own custom 'distress ink'
rainbow was just too much to pass up.

i inked the pad using 'distressed reinkers'
in some of my fave colours.

from the bottom:
festive berries
spiced marmalade
squeezed lemonade
shabby shutters
peacock feathers
salty ocean
shaded lilac
picked raspberry

it took a couple of days for the
colours to blend together.

i used a brayer to ink the lid!!!

now to make some thing?

i used a brayer to ink a manila tag.
i had to do it in two halves as my brayer wasn't wide enough.

water flicked over tag and dried.

tim holtz 'seasonal reflections' stamped using 'archival' coffee.

edges distressed and inked using 'distress ink' vintage photo.

flower from tim holtz 'nature's discoveries' stamped with 'versamark' and embossed with white embossing powder.

butterflies from 'nature's discoveries' and flowers from 'tim holtz' spring sprung stamped with 'archival' jet black.

words from 'indigoblu' sarah's choice stamped onto manila card in jet black, edged with vintage photo and fixed in place with shaker tape.

wet crinkle ribbon pressed onto custom ink pad then dried
and tied through top of tag.

'idea-ology' wire pin with locket key and some pearls,
 pinned through ribbon.
